Ring size guide: measure once, wear forever

12 October 2026 · 4 min read

Rings are the most returned jewellery on the internet, and it's always sizing. Indian jewellers use US-equivalent sizes — our bands run 6 to 10, which covers the vast majority of fingers.

Measure at night. Fingers swell through the day and shrink in cold mornings; an evening measurement is your true size. Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimetres against a size chart.

Fit rules: the band should slide on easily and resist slightly coming off over the knuckle. Statement and thorn-textured bands wear tighter than plain ones — if you're between sizes on a chunky ring, go up.

Between sizes, or buying for someone else? Size up. A slightly loose ring can be worn on another finger; a tight one lives in a drawer.
